Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - October 2-3-4 Sea Days!!!

You, like me, might wonder what on earth there would be to do on sea days, but I can tell you, we’ve been kept pretty busy!  Every morning we receive our ‘Princess Patter’ which has the day’s timetable of activities and we sit down with our highlighter pen and decide which ones we will attend.

Over these three days, we went to the daily morning and afternoon Team Trivia Challenges with Kez and David, and then usually met some other people to make up a team of 6; went to a Wine Tasting complete with canapés;  played Shuffle Board on deck 15 (highest deck);  went to ‘Showtime’:  “On the Bayou” – sat in the front row in the Universe Lounge and watched a brilliant show performed by the Coral Princess Singers and Dancers!  After the half hour show, we took ourselves off to the ‘50’s and 60’s Rock n Roll Night’ in another lounge for some more dancing!
It was while we were playing shuffle board late in the afternoon, that we were treated to a brilliant show by a pod of dolphins who were playing in the backwash of the ship, leaping out of the water – six at at time at one stage, just like at Sea World!  And of course, not one of us had a camera.  An image in my mind I’ll never forget.
We’ve also seen flying fish, a turtle and lots of sea birds from our room on deck 12.
During the sea days, we also like to attend the ‘Ballroom Blitz’ session where we have learned merengue, salsa and the swing dances.  It’s always fun, especially trying to dance whilst the ship is rollicking from side to side as well….

Princess organised an area with cardboard, paint, crayons and pencils and asked passengers to make a poster with our message on it - ‘To Panama with Love!’  Kerren made one and so did we – with a big kangaroo on it!

Thursday evening we saw Comic: ‘Doug Funk’ and then took ourselves off to the ‘Karaoke Power Hour’ in the Explorers Lounge – David and Kerren sang separately and we had a lot of fun!

Friday’s brekky was had in the Provence Dining Room – Mexican omelettes and pancakes, chocolate croissants – full service.  We could do this every day, but we don’t.  It was very special!  At the Morning Team Trivia Challenge with Brett in the Wheelhouse Lounge, we teamed with Kez, and new friends Janet & John from England.  In the afternoon, David went to ‘Police, Fire and Ambulance Workers Unite’ gathering and met up with colleagues from other countries, which was interesting.  They had one for the Teachers at 3pm, but we also had paid for another wine tasting, so Kez and I missed it.
3pm Grapevine Wine Tasting – Sampled 5 wines (including Wolf Blass from Australia) and kept the Princess Cruises shot glass.  Sat with Tracy and Randy from Canada.
